Hypersomnie

Fashion as a Sleep Aid in Everyday Life

With "Hypersomnia," a timeless and gender-neutral collection has been created that appeals to a wide target audience and from which anyone can benefit. The collection aims to provide functionality, such as inflatable elements in the collars and sleeves, allowing wearers to take a power nap in everyday life.

The focus is on tops, such as jackets and coats, as these include various paddings. Some pieces have oversized collars, pillow shoulder pads that can be folded up, or inflatable collar and sleeve elements. Some key pieces stand alone, while others are combined with wide pants, dresses, or bags in a similar style. By incorporating existing cushions and neck pillows as collar elements or sleeve modules, it is possible to use the clothing as a napping aid in everyday life, functionally enabling the desire to sleep while on the go.

Modern colors and prints are intended to convey a positive mood and associations. The collection DNA is a combination of four characteristic features: coziness, comfort, stability, and relaxation. Here I used digital print and screenprinting.
